GR:Injustice: Gods Among Us is a fun and entertaining fighting game, and the way the games are bound together in Story Mode is a breath of fresh air compared to many of the genre's other titles that just makes it all the that extra bit available.

As a freebie, Injustice is fine. It offers briefly gratifying violence, nice graphics and, above all, a nice way to kill time until you can play the real thing. The real injustice is in not being able to pick up and kick arse as the Dark Knight straight away. Most will have given up long before the opportunity Rises.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a great fighting experience that manages to welcome not just lots of different veterans of the genre but also those who aren't that experienced through a comprehensive tutorial. The story impresses and the mechanics are very responsive.

NetherRealm successfully rebooted Mortal Kombat, returning the series to its roots and making the hyper-violent fighter relevant again. Its now taking on the DC licence for a second time, trying to atone for its sins with the frankly awful Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Injustice: Gods Among Us does away with Mortal Kombats baggage and with it the gratuitous violence, focusing instead on just the heroes and villains from the comic books. Its a better game for it.
